This Saturday, the Bastard Squad Collective‘s annual crust extravaganda ‘SUBVERT 2008’ hits Bristol. Featuring Whole in the Head, Burning the Prospect, Beginning of the End, Jesus Bruiser, Skiplickers and Filthy Habits and taking place at the The White Hart. All the profits from the £7 entry fee will go to benefit Bristol No Borders and Bristol Anarchist Black Cross.

On Sunday, to soothe any hangovers or earache, in Kebele from 6pm there will be a series of short films on migration controls, and the resistance against it, plus delicious vegan food organised by Bristol No Borders. Free entry, food by donation.

Members of No Borders South Wales will be in attendance on both days, come and join us.

If you’ve ever needed an excuse to visit Newport, here’s a great one, the No Border Fest will feature 13 bands, lots of stalls, a protest, a film showing, some vegan food, loads of booze and (hopefully) a stack of cash to help No Borders South Wales! The whole event need only cost £10 if you get one of the special weekend tickets, email us for details. It all starts on Friday 3rd October at 7pm in TJs, Clarence Place, Newport.
